GHSA HIGHLIGHTS

This year GHSA, based on the students that we serve and their needs, will outreach to more community-based organizations to collaborate with us and bring their wrap-around services to our campus. This will allow our school resources to focus on:

1.  stabilizing the teaching staff so that an investment in staff has longevity,

2.  Increasing professional development for all teachers, including common planning,

3.  identifying and implementing common core instructional resources and strategies that can be used to continue to effectively improve students’ math and ELA/reading skills, concepts and strategies so that they can meet or exceed grade level standards in all areas including science, social studies and engineering,

4.  Increasing resources for teaching integrated NGSS and engineering, including Project Lead the Way,

5.  Planning and implementing effective school/class schedules that allow students’ academic and social/emotional needs and interests to be met,

6.   developing positive, unconditional relationships among all stakeholders by setting the expectation and implementing procedures so that all voices including students’ are heard a
